Our Mission & Philosophy
The mission of Woodchase Academy is to create an atmosphere that inspires a lifelong love of learning and nurtures each child to reach his or her fullest potential-emotionally, socially, academically and physically. At Woodchase Academy, we are committed to providing the experiences that foster the development of a positive self-esteem, as well as the school readiness necessary for success in future learning.
Woodchase Academy believes in providing structure for the child and guiding the learning process. We are concerned about the emotional needs of each child. The staff strives to provide love and organization; there is a balance between relaxed social times and organized group activities with a wide range of learning experiences. At Woodchase Academy, children have fun learning and parents can be assured their child receives quality attention and care.
Our Goals
The families and teachers who make up our preschool community share several goals. These include:

- Provide a curriculum filled with exploration and experimentation that goes beyond the traditional daycare and preschool.

Our Curriculum
Our curriculum provides a balanced year of both academic and social/development for students. The curriculum is a blend of the very best of proven curriculums and developmentally appropriate practices. Learning activities are centered around hands on experiences and are based on the children’s needs and interests. Themed lesson plans are relevant to current events, and designed to stimulate understanding and exploration.
Our Administration
We believe that a high level of genuine communication between parents, staff, and administration is an essential ingredient in the quality operation of Woodchase Academy. To achieve this open communication, a member of administration is always available.
Our Teachers
Our teachers are experienced, educated and most important of all dedicated to the education of young children! Working with children in a positive and successful way takes a unique dedication and enthusiasm for teaching. We strive to maintain child to teacher ratios lower than those required by the State. Team teaching and low ratios allow Woodchase Academy’s degreed and/or highly experienced teachers the opportunity to bond with each child, giving them individual attention.
Our Facility
Our facility was designed to provide a healthy, safe and stimulating environment for our children. The state of the art classrooms are big enough to provide flexibility for creative programming. The outdoor play areas are divided into three large, well equipped, fenced in areas that support exploration and promote physical development.
